Join the 2015 Race Committee (former River Runner)! Inaugural Meeting on Nov 19th, 6pm

Hello everybody,

The DPSAY Board is in full swing of planning the upcoming season and as in previous years we would like to continue to host a mid-distance race in the Whitehorse area. The DPSAY board is looking to assemble a group of volunteers to become the race committee.

We would like to invite anyone who is interested in making this race happen to join the inaugural meeting of the 2015 Race Committee on Wed Nov 19, 2014 at 6pm at the Yukon College, Room A2202. We want you to share your ideas about how you think the 2015 race can become a success.

To make this a successful race there are many different things that need to be done and the DPSAY Board doesn’t have the capacity to do it on its own!

For a variety of reasons the board has already decided to not continue the River Runner as it was held in previous years and instead chose to use the route between Takhini Hot Springs and Braeburn. A date has also been set and the race will take place on March 7/8, 2015 instead of Rendezvous weekend. Now we need an enthusiastic crowd of volunteers to actually make this race happen.

Come and join the Race Committee if you are interested in helping out in one of these areas: Race Coordination, Sponsorship, PR/Media, Trail, Checkpoint, Finish Banquet, or Start Line set up.

See you on the 19th!
